UPR Products sales team and trailer attended the 2021 NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl event in St. Louis May 13-16, 2021.

Nearly 500 racecars made for crowded pits and great racing. Although the threat of rain possibly limited spectator attendance, sales of UPR Products Pro-series suspension were brisk.

UPR Products considers every event we attend a success because we get to meet customers face to face as well as display our latest products.

With so many racers attending, they found our UPR Pro Series7075 billet aluminum lugnuts and billet adjustable 16AN wrench to be popular new items.

We also had Bill Putnam's 2020 NMRA Limited Street championship winning 1994 Mustang entered and looking for a repeat win.
NMRA has tweaked its rules to create an even playing field and this makes for exciting side by side racing. But for Bill "better to be lucky than good” was the scenario. Struggling with a new combination, Bill qualified fourth. He shredded a blower belt in round 1 but hung on for the round win. Inround 2 he faced UPR racer Dan Ryntz and barely squeeked by at the finish line for the win. In round 3 Bill had a bye run so he was headed for the final.

His competitor had been running quicker all weekend and Bill found himself in a rare underdog position. But Mother Nature decided enough for racing, with the NMRA calling the race late sunday after rain showers appeared.

The final was rescheduled to the NMRA Ford Performance Nationals at Summitt Motorsports Park. UPR Products will have our sales trailer and staff there June 10-13, 2021 to mingle with customers and cheer Bill on.

And of course, we are all looking forward to the $1 pound of ice cream deal which Summit Motorsports Park is famous for (as well as being the the gold standard of dragstrips)!
