Description
x 2005-2014 S197 Mustang Clutch Rod Mod for all models equipped with the 5 speed & 6 speed manual transmission. This is the only real way to fix or repair the infamous plastic "Mickey Mouse" bushing / eyelet located at the end of the clutch master cylinder rod.
These plastic bushings are known to wear out and crack or break allowing play between the pushrod. Most common is the factory clutch rod end breaking completely off and leaving without a working vehicle stranded wherever it decides to break.
The worst problem is this is not something Ford repairs and to add insult to injury they only offer the same plastic "Mickey Mouse" bushing as a complete assembly for $100 and then you will have to pay for the complete R&R of this part only to be left stranded again in the near future.
Fix it right, fix it for good!
